She has worked in several practices since 2000, mainly in Emergency settings, which fostered her interest in Emergency Medicine. She graduated from Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. As a student in vet school, she was the Wild Life Ward Coordinator and learned much about wild life medicine that helps her to triage and treat wild life and she took classes to learn medicine for birds and some exotic pets.

She enjoys veterinary emergency work because of the challenge and the ability to make a difference when care is needed most. She currently owns 2 cats and a dog. When not at work, she enjoys kayaking and hiking with her dog, camping, taking nature photography and spending time with her family.
